South Africa has the highest HIV /AIDS epidemic, with 7.1 million people living with HIV.  The HIV prevalence is high among the general population at 18.9%, according to www.avert.org/professionals/hiv-around-world/sub-saharan-africa/south-africa.

Irrespective of the improvement made in recent years, we are still a society that discriminates against those who live with HIV/AIDS. Recently Daniel Dibe our paralegal journalist spoke on star FM about how people living with HIV/AIDS are being discriminated against. He cautioned people against doing so and urged his audience to contact his office if they were dismissed or their HIV status was revealed without their consent.
Daniel went on to explain the topic which was HIV/AIDS Law and why it is important to know your rights and their office’s job is to ensure you know your rights if you are infected by HIV. That was so his audience is able to protect their rights. Catch Daniel Dibe every Thursdays 7.15.pm on Star FM Listen here:
